Mewgenics Battle Tactics

Winning fights in Mewgenics is mostly about role clarity. One cat should hold attention or absorb bad turns, one should convert trait scaling into real damage, and the rest should make that plan safer through control, healing, or cleanup. When a team loses, it is usually because every cat is trying to do everything.

Core Combat Rules

Open fights by protecting your highest value damage cat instead of pushing maximum output on turn one.

Use utility turns to maintain tempo. A slow, controlled win is stronger than a fragile burst plan that collapses if one trait misses.

Build around two or three shared status interactions at most. More than that usually makes the squad inconsistent.

Positioning should protect the win condition first. Any tactic that exposes the carry for marginal value is usually a bad trade.

Teams that look modest but take clean turns often outperform flashy squads that require perfect rolls or perfect spacing every fight.

The best tactic is usually the one that still works after a bad roll, a missed setup, or one cat falling behind.

That is why defensive tempo and positioning discipline are not "safe" habits. They are the habits that keep advanced plans alive long enough to matter.
